Dr. P. Muhammed Shafi is currently working as an INSPIRE Faculty at the Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology Calicut, India (from September 2022). He is an Early career Editorial Board Member for the journal ‘Results in Engineering’ Elsevier, and served as Guest Editor  for the journal of ‘crystals’ MDPI publications. His research interest includes the design and development of advanced materials for clean and sustainable energy, environment, and health. He has published more than 30 international journals and one book chapter. He completed his PhD in physics from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India in 2018. Then he moved to South Korea for a postdoctoral felloship at the Institute of Clean Energy Priority Research centre (CEPRC), Yeungnam University. In 2020, he joined as an Assistant professor at School of Chemical Engineering at the same university and continued till 2022 February. Then he worked as an assistant professor at VIT-AP University, India (March 2022 to Augest 2022). He did his bachelor degree in Physics from MES Mampad College (affiliated to Calicut university) in 2010 and masters in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University in 2012.  He has received prestigious Inspire Faculty Fellowship award in 2022 from the Department of Science and Technology, Gov. of India.
