The Student Grievance Redressal Cell
The Student Grievance Redressal Cell (SGRC) at the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) addresses complaints from students. It evaluates each complaint and provides a suitable resolution. The main objectives of SGRC are:
-
To maintain the institute's dignity by fostering a peaceful campus environment.
-
To promote positive relationships among students and between students and teachers.
-
To encourage students to freely and openly voice their concerns about academic, non-academic, resource-related, and personal issues without fear of retaliation.
How to File a Grievance
-
Who Can File: Any student with a genuine grievance related to academic or non-academic issues within the campus.
-
Where to File: Approach the Dean Student’s Welfare Office (DSWO) in person.
-
How to File: Submit a written complaint in the prescribed format, which should be recommended and forwarded by your Faculty Advisor (FA) and the Head of the Department (HOD).
-
What Happens Next: The received grievances are sent to the appropriate committees for further action based on the severity of the issue.
The SGRC is here to ensure a supportive and harmonious environment for all students at NITC.
