B.Tech and B.Arch Admissions - Overview
Admission to the B. Tech. and B. Arch degree programmes of NIT Calicut is based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) - Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively. Reservation of seats to various categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD, will be followed as per Govt. of India norms. For information on JEE (Main), please visit www.jeemain.nic.in.
There is no need to apply separately to each NIT. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, will conduct and supervise the process of admission to the various NITs through centralized online counseling process. More details about the admission process will be made available at the websites of JoSAA (https://josaa.nic.in) and CSAB (https://csab.nic.in), from time to time.

A limited number of seats (145 seats on supernumerary basis) are available for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) under the ‘Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA)’ Scheme of MHRD, Government of India. 1/3rd of the DASA seats are reserved for the Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries (CIWG).
