    • March 2017 - October 2023: Architect, Central Public Works Department, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India

    • October 2023- Present: Assistant professor , NIT Calicut

As an Assistant Professor at NIT Calicut since 2023, I hold a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NIT Bhopal. My academic journey includes securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 4 in the GATE 2014 and AIR 2 in GATE 2015, demonstrating a strong foundation in both architectural and engineering principles.

In addition to my academic achievements, I bring substantial practical experience from my tenure as an Architect in the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India—an appointment earned through the UPSC. Over the course of my career, I have led the design and execution of more than 60 buildings, encompassing a built-up area of 6.8 million square feet. This extensive portfolio underscores my expertise in large-scale architectural design, sustainable construction practices, and end-to-end project management.

My work has been consistently recognized with the prestigious CPWD Award for Excellence for four consecutive years—2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023—reflecting my commitment to quality, innovation, and public service.

Driven by the need for data-driven decision-making and lifecycle-based asset management in the built environment, my current academic and research interest lies in the development and implementation of Building Passports. These are structured digital records that compile essential information about a building’s design, construction, materials, energy use, and renovation history—enabling transparency, informed retrofitting, regulatory compliance, and alignment with sustainability goals. I am particularly interested in exploring how Building Passports can be scaled for public infrastructure in India and integrated with emerging technologies such as digital twins, GIS, and AI-based compliance systems.
