NITC wins overall championship at Excellencia '11
9 students from the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology Calicut won the overall and best college trophy at Excellencia '11, the technological fest held at MES Engineering College, Kuttippuram on 23rd and 24th February. The fest witnessed a participation of 35 colleges, and over 400 students.
The team that represented NITC comprised Vipin Nair (S2 MCA), Ritesh Chandora (S2 MCA), Addy Singh (S2 MCA), Ritwik Dey (S2 MCA), Indranil Karmakar (S2 MCA), Dilshad Mohammad (S2 MCA), Ashwin Jacob (S4 B.Tech. CS) and Leo Francis (S4 B.Tech. CS).
Of the 9 events conducted, NITC progressed to the finals of 7 events. The following are the events which the team won subsequently:
