With the rapid developments in Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), machining operations in micro and nano scale has become a topic of great research interest. Technology of Micro-machining has gained an increasing decisive role in the miniaturization of components in biomedical, electronic and other MEMS applications.

         The machining centre is equipped with various accessories like On Machine Measurement (OMM) setup, Conventional and Non conventional micro machining setups etc.  It is important to note that at present the micro machining facility is available only in few Institutes in India and NIT Calicut is one among them.

         Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), is in the process of procuring.
