Research Conclave on Global Transformation 2024

The Research Forum of National Institute of Technology Calicut organized a two day Research Conclave titled ReConGT 2024 on 19th and 20th of April 2024. The research conclave was inaugurated by Dr.Rajashree M.S, Director in charge, Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Kerala.  Mr.Sharath M. Nair, Operations Manager Tata Elxsi Calicut, was the Guest of honor of the inaugural event.  Dr.A.V Babu Dean (Academic) presided over the function. Dr. Priya Chandran Dean (Planning & Development), Dr.Sandhyarani M,  Dean ( Research & Consultancy), Dr.Ravi Varma, Dean ( Alumni and International Relations) gave felicitations in the inaugural event.

Dr. S.D Madhu Kumar, Chairperson, CITRA and Dr.Anu Mary Chacko, Faculty in charge of Research forum, NITC spoke on the occasion. Dr. Rajashree M.S  pointed out  the need for interdisciplinary studies in research clasping technology and innovation. Mr.Sharath Nair focused on the need for collaborations of industry with academia.
With more than 100 external delegates and nearly 200 internal participants, ReConGT had three keynote addresses, two plenary sessions and fifteen expert lectures. The conclave included paper presentations and poster presentations by scholars from institutes of national importance under eight major themes counting Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economy ,Climate Resilient Technology, etc. From  130 submissions, 72 papers were shortlisted for oral presentations in the Conclave. The conclave was privileged with the presence of 20 experts from national and international institutes and organizations paving way to converge, collaborate and catalyze transformative change.

Dr.Amruth G Kumar,Dean Academics,Central University of Kerala  was the chief guest of the Valedictory session and he emphasized the need of aesthetics and emotions of Research. Dr. Anu Mary Chacko, the faculty in charge of the conclave felicitated the session. Mr.Prince Thankachan, student convener of the Research Conclave presented the program report and Ms.Issabella Jose, Research Affairs Secretary proposed vote of thanks. The best papers and posters were recognized and were given  awards  in the Valedictory session.

The Director of NIT Calicut, Prof. Prasad Krishna,  has instructed all the Deans, Heads of the Departments and Centre Chairpersons to actively participate and motivate the research scholars of the Institute in organizing the event.  The Research Conclave was a two day successful mission accomplished by the immense dedication of research scholars of NIT Calicut for the past few months.
