NITC faculty wins INSA Visiting Scientist Award
Dr. Indumathi Sathisaran, an Assistant Professor of NIT Calicut, has received the prestigious Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Visiting Scientist Award 2024 – 2025. A faculty of the Department of BioScience and Engineering, she won the award for her project proposal entitled, 'Fabrication of Dual-functional Microneedle Formulations for the Treatment of Malaria'. The research proposed for the INSA Visting Scientist Programme 2024-2025 at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore as the host institute will involve the development of dual-functional hydrogel-forming hollow microneedles by Digital Light Processing (DLP) printing for the treatment of malaria and anaemia.
