    Microelectronics is driving force behind a large number of technical and commercial innovations in the present world scenario. There is a need for good amount of educated / trained manpower in Microelectronics and VLSI Design related areas in the coming years to raise India’s share in global VLSI Market. This is one of the thrust areas of ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. This is possible only through specialized programme in Microelectronics and VLSI Design. The course is well suited for the current academic and industrial needs of India. Employment opportunities are ample in this field as industries recruit engineers on a global scale.
