Dr.Anjana Bhasi is presently functioning as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Institute of Technology Calicut,India. Anjana completed Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from T.K.M Engineering College Kollam, Kerala University. She did Master’s degree and PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Madras with Geotechnical Engineering specialization. She has been functioning as a faculty of the Geotechnical Engineering division of Civil Engineering Department at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal before joining NIT Calicut.
Her research interests are Finite Element Modelling and Simulation of Geotechnical Engineering Structures, Ground Improvement Methods, Geosynthetics for reinforcement of earth structures, Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.
