Female students interested in coding get a chance to showcase their expertise in coding
Centre for Women Welfare and Social Empowerment (CWSE) at the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) has opened a national-level coding competition for girl students from schools and colleges. The event is open to school students, undergraduate students and postgraduate students.
The event titled “National Women Coding Competition for Entrepreneurship with SDGs” aims at offering a platform for women and girls to innovate for a better world. Students will get an opportunity to use their coding skills for the welfare of society.
The themes for the 'National Women Coding Competition for Entrepreneurship with SDGs’ is India’s G20 Presidency and United Nations Sustainable Developments Goals (SDGs). The event helps students to participate and solve local and global problems through coding.
The participants can pick their topic from the list of SDGs, including no poverty, no hunger, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation and life on land given by CWSE. The competition started on Wednesday and will continue till August 31. Interested persons can participate in the coding competition by visiting https://cwse.nitc.ac.in/.
