Vigilance Awareness Week 2024
The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, focused on this year’s theme, “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”, commenced at NIT Calicut on 28th October with a pledge taking ceremony. The event began with a welcome address by the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Dr. G. Unnikrishnan, who emphasized the importance of integrity in fostering an accountable and transparent environment within the institute.
Following the welcome address, the Hon'ble Director, Prof. Prasad Krishna, administered the Integrity Pledge, which was collectively taken by faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students assembled in the Lobby of Administrative Block A. Prof. Prasad Krishna then delivered a message underscoring the significance of self-accountability, particularly for employees, in maintaining a high standard of integrity within the institution.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with over 100 attendees, including faculty, non-teaching staff, and students, actively engaging in the ceremony. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the CVO, Dr. G. Unnikrishnan, who expressed gratitude to all present for their participation and their commitment to upholding a culture of integrity.
The Vigilance Awareness Week at NIT Calicut reaffirms the institute’s dedication to promoting ethical practices and instilling a sense of responsibility among its members, aligning with the national objective of fostering integrity for the nation’s progress.
