The Ragam Saga continues
The second day of the annual cultural fest at the National Institute of Technology Calicut began with one of the most anticipated spotlights of Ragam, the Mr. & Ms. Ragam featuring young and budding fashionistas walking the ramp. This was followed by Crime Scene Investigation, which saw a lot of enthusiastic participation from the audience. Other highlights of the day included competitions like Duffmuttu, Maapilapattu and Kolkali which portrayed the rich and diverse folk arts of Kerala. Various sports events such as Fury, (basketball competition) and Ragnarok, which hosted a wide array of virtual and innovative gaming experiences, brought in immense participation from the students . A folk-dance spectacle called the Garudan Parva mainly practised in central Kerala attracted a large audience. The stage was also graced by Purusha Pretham’s director duo Krishand and Jeo Baby who engaged the audience with an interactive session. The YouTubers conclave with the GENZ YouTubers Aswin Ram and Ashwin Bhasker was another highlight of the day.
The standout of the festival's second day was the much-awaited Proshow featuring singing sensation Jubin Nautiyal with his fast numbers and soulful melodies. Kill The Clowns DJ grooved the audience with their immense beats. The day ended with Choreonite which was a platform for budding dancers and choreographers to showcase their talent.
Overall, the second day of Ragam 23’ was a huge success and left the audience waiting with bated breath for the final day of the fest. The most anticipated events for day three include pro shows by Amit Trivedi and rock band Avial.
