The onset of cultural extravaganza- Ragam'23.

The annual cultural festival of the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Ragam'23, commenced on the 10th of March, 2023. The opening day of the festival witnessed a plethora of events, such as monoact, debate and antakshari, attracting participation from various colleges across the country. 

One of the highlights of day one was the musical event ‘Swararaaga’, which featured Indian classical music with various western instruments, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Babu Ramachandran, the anchor of Vallathoru Katha, narrated the legacy of Rajan. An exclusive interview with film director and scriptwriter Shyam Pushkaran was conducted where he shared his valuable insights on the film industry. 

The puppetry show by Harisree Kannan from the Tholpavakoothu Kalakendram captivated the audience with their stunning visuals and creative storytelling. Another crowd puller was the  "Rajan Memorial Light Music Solo", a tribute to Rajan, in whose honor Ragam is held. The crowd was mesmerized by the energetic performance of DABZEE, who rose to fame through his famous malayalam song "Manavalan Thug".

The excitement was at its peak with the commencement of the pro-show, by the renowned trio the Mohan sisters - Shakti Mohan, Neeti Mohan and Mukti Mohan. This was followed by DJ Swattrex, who took the stage for an action-packed ride. The eventful day concluded with ‘Couture Boulevard’, a fashion show which showcased unique designs and diverse range of trendsetters.The renowned singer Jubin Nautiyal and the EDM duo "Kill the Clowns" will showcase an electrifying performance for second day proshow night on 11th March.
