The IEEE Student Branch NIT Calicut has successfully organized Hack4Good

The IEEE Student Branch NIT Calicut has successfully organized Hack4Good, a national-level 24-hour hackathon powered by the IEEE Humanitarian Technologies Board, in collaboration with the IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter on December 28-29, 2024 and witnessed participation from 35 shortlisted teams out of 60+ teams across India, who competed at NIT Calicut for the final level, following online rounds.

The first prize was awarded to Team Breaking Minds from NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad. The second prize went to IEEE SB CEV from the College of Engineering, Vadakara. Team Innominds from NIT Calicut, comprising Abhinav Pradeep, Abhay K, Ahammed Shakkel Sarwar MP, and Aditya Krishnan C, B.Tech 3rd-year students of Electronics and Communication Engineering, secured the third prize in this prestigious competition.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities : Dr. Satyananda Panda (Dean, Students' Welfare, NIT Calicut), Dr. Sameer SM (Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering, NIT Calicut; IEEE R10 Director Elect), Prof. Muhammed Kasim S (Chair, IEEE Kerala Section), Dr. Shihabudheen K V (Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering, NIT Calicut; IEEE Student Branch Counsellor), Prof. Reshna S (Chairperson, IEEE SPS Kerala Section), Dr. G. Abhilash (Associate Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering, NIT Calicut; SPS Faculty Advisor, NITC).
