Students at NIT Calicut received Leelavathi Memorial Scholarship Awards
he Leelavathi Memorial Scholarship, instituted by the Silver Jubilee Endowment Trust and sponsored by Prof. Sushama C. M., Department of Mathematics, is awarded to students who have secured the highest combined marks in Mathematics I and Mathematics II in their first year. This is the first time the awards are being presented, and each recipient receives a cash prize of ₹25,000. For the inaugural edition, the recipients were:
Aishwarya Rammohan (B230769CE) – 2023 Batch
Nandana Anand (B220424CS) – 2022 Batch
Mathew Bino (B210435CS) – 2021 Batch
The prize distribution ceremony took place on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 13:00 in the Head of the Department’s office. The Head of the Department, along with faculty members, presented the cheques to the awardees. The event included a brief interaction with the HOD, followed by a photo session.
This marks the first year of the Leelavathi Memorial Scholarship awards, celebrating academic excellence and encouraging future achievers in Mathematics.
