Strengthening Swachhata at NIT Calicut
As part of its CSR initiative, Canara Bank has generously donated an Ashok Leyland “Bada Dost” vehicle to the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) to enhance cleanliness and waste management efforts on campus.
The vehicle was formally handed over by Mr. Rishi Balakrishnan, Branch Manager, Canara Bank (NITC Branch), to Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director, NITC. On the occasion, the Director expressed heartfelt gratitude to Canara Bank for this thoughtful contribution, highlighting its vital role in supporting the Institute’s initiatives during the Swachhata Pakhwada programme of the Government of India.
This support will empower NITC to:
Conduct efficient cleanliness drives
Strengthen waste disposal mechanisms
Promote sustainable practices across campus
