NITC organized symposium at Wayanad on the heritage of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja
A Dedication to Pazhassi Raja’s Heritage by NIT Calicut
‘Reinventing The Lost Heritage of Pazhassi Raja’s, a symposium and poster exhibition to evoke the heritage of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja, freedom fighter known as the ‘Lion of Kerala’ was organized by the National Institute of Technology, Calicut on November 5, 2022 at Vellamunda Grama Panchayath Office, Manathavady.
The Symposium commenced with a welcome address by the Vice President of Vellamunda Grama Panchayath, followed by a series of talks by Smt. Sudhi Radhakrishnan, President Vellamunda Grama Panchayath, Mr. Justin Baby, President Block Panchayath, Manathavady, Mr. A N Prabhakaran, Member, District Planning Committee. Their speech appreciated and celebrated the great valor, guerrilla warfare specialities and contribution of Pazhassi to the Pre- Independence freedom fighting as a people’s saviour.
