NITC organises training for Kerala Police
National Institute of Technology Calicut is organising a short-term training programme (STTP) on Malware Detection and Analysis for officials from Kerala Police during 10 th June to 21 st June 2024 at NIT Calicut. The programme is organised jointly by CITRA (Centre for Information Technology, Research and Automation) and CCESD (Centre for Continuing Education and Skill Development). NITC and Kerala Police Cyberdom had recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding for strengthening cyber security initiatives. The MoU promotes collaboration between the NITC and Kerala Police for personnel training and research efforts to improve cybercrime investigations. The STTP is part of this MoU. The expert faculty and technical team from NITC are offering training to Kerala Police as part of ensuring cybersecurity training programs and development of crime investigative techniques. NIT Calicut has already conducted a 2 weeks training program on Network security for the Kerala police during 20 th to 31 st May 2024. Nath and Dr. Jagadanand , Coordinators of the training program spoke during the inaugural function held on 10 th June 2024 at NIT Calicut.
