NIT Calicut Inaugurates Ragam ’26 South India’s Premier Cultural Festival
The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) has officially inaugurated Ragam ’26, its flagship annual cultural festival. Widely regarded as one of South India’s largest and most vibrant student-led events, Ragam continues to celebrate creativity, talent, and cultural diversity on campus.
The festival was inaugurated by renowned actress Surabhi Lakshmi, who inspired students to pursue their dreams with passion. In her address, she emphasized the importance of art in life and its role in nurturing creativity and self-expression.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the Director of NIT Calicut, Prof. Prasad Krishna, who delivered the presidential address. Prof. Satyaananda Panda, Dean (Students’ Welfare), welcomed the gathering, while Dr. Sunil Jacob John, Registrar (In-Charge), offered felicitation.
Ragam ’26 serves as a dynamic platform that brings together young talent from diverse regions and backgrounds. The festival fosters artistic expression, collaboration, and meaningful cultural exchange, reinforcing NIT Calicut’s reputation as a vibrant hub for student engagement and creativity.
