NIT Calicut Commemorates Constitution Day with Enthusiasm and Insight
The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) Celebrated Constitution Day with a series of inspiring events that honor the spirit and values of the Indian Constitution. The program took place on 26 November 2024, fostering awareness about the Constitution's importance among students, faculty, and staff.
The event began with a Welcome Address delivered by Prof. Satyananda Panda, marking the start of a day dedicated to reflection and learning.
Prof. Priya Chandran, Director-In-Charge & Dean of Planning and Development delivered the presidential address followed by ceremonial release of the Preamble of the Constitution.
A key highlight of the event is the guest lecture by Mr. Nidhin Jose, who presented an engaging session titled, “Fundamental Rights and the Constitution of India.” This insightful talk shed light on the significance and implications of fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution. The celebrations honored student achievements through a Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognizing winners of various competitions, including Essay Writing, Poster Design, and English Extempore. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Ramesh S,(AR Estate) expressing gratitude to all participants, contributors, and organizers.
