NIT Calicut Applauds Nallapadam & Academic Achiever Shadha Shanavas
The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) proudly acknowledged the remarkable contributions of the Nallapadam initiative by Malayala Manorama, which has played a pivotal role in promoting youth empowerment and fostering social responsibility across Kerala.
As part of the event, NITC also felicitated Ms. Shadha Shanavas, a visually impaired 11th Std Humanities student of Calicut Higher Secondary School for the Handicapped, for her exemplary academic and co-curricular achievements. She secured Full A+ in the SSLC Examination 2025, was honoured with the prestigious Ujjalabhalya Puraskaram 2024, and has consistently demonstrated excellence in various literary and cultural competitions.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT Calicut, who presented the award to Malayala Manorama, received on behalf of the organization by Mr. Anil Radhakrishnan, Senior Coordinating Editor, Malayala Manorama, Kozhikode. The award to Km. Shadha Shanavas was presented by Ms. R. Keerthi, IFoS, Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry), Northern Region.
