The MakerChamps Season 2, a workshop for school students jointly organized by Centre for Holistic Teaching & Learning, Nlightened Zen Solutions and De’ Lead International was held on 11th and 12th July 2026 at NIT Calicut. The program was officially inaugurated by Prof. G. Unnikrishnan, Head of the Department of Chemistry at NIT Calicut. As an distinguished academic, researcher, and mentor, Dr. Unnikrishnan delivered an inspiring inaugural address that motivated participants to make the most of the enriching journey ahead.
 
Icebreaking and Leadership Activities The icebreaking and leadership activities were conducted by Mr. Arjun and Mr. Muhammed Salah, Mentor and Co-Founder of Wizzyminds.
STEM Learning Sessions The STEM learning component of the program consisted of two primary sessions: Physics Session and Chemistry session.  The physics session was conducted by Dr. Arun, Co-Founder of Nlightened Zen Solutions The chemistry session was conducted by Mr. Sujith, Chairperson of the Center for Holistic Teaching and Learning and Professor in the Department of Chemistry at NIT Calicut.  Campus and Laboratory Visit Participants were given the opportunity to explore the NIT Calicut campus and visit various laboratories.
 
Maker Session The maker session was conducted by Mr. Arjun, CTO and Co-Founder of De’ Lead International. This comprehensive session involved: Ideation: Generating creative ideas and identifying problems to solve, Design Thinking: Applying human-centred design approaches to problem-solving, Critical Thinking: Analysing problems from multiple perspectives, Problem Solving: Developing practical solutions to real-world challenges and Prototyping: Building tangible models and working prototypes and Idea Presentation.
