Launch of “SMITHAM” – Campus Dental Care Facility at NIT Calicut
The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) has inaugurated “SMITHAM”, a dedicated on-campus dental care facility, at the Suvidha Kendra (opposite to C-Hostel). The initiative has been made possible with the wholehearted support of our Alumni and the kind support of the Institute.The facility was formally launched by Prof. Prasad Krishna, Hon. Director, NITC, in the presence of Dr. M.S. Sunitha, Registrar & Dean (Faculty and Staff Welfare), Dr. Shaija A., Dean (Planning and Development), Dr. Satyananda Panda, Dean (Student Welfare), along with faculty members, staff, and students.Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Prasad Krishna emphasized the institute’s commitment to community well-being:
“The health and well-being of our campus community is of paramount importance. With the launch of SMITHAM, we are taking another step towards providing comprehensive healthcare support within the campus, ensuring convenience and timely care for everyone at NITC.”SMITHAM is set to provide preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services for faculty, staff, and students, further strengthening NITC’s vision of holistic welfare and campus healthcare support.
