Justice Devan Ramachandran Inspires Newly Joined PG and PhD Students at NIT Calicut
The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) welcomed its newly joined postgraduate and PhD students through the Orientation Programme 2026, featuring inspiring interactions with distinguished leaders from the judiciary, healthcare and higher education.
Hon’ble Justice Devan Ramachandran, Judge, High Court of Kerala, urged students to embrace excellence, responsibility, and individuality: “Excellence is a duty, not a choice.”
Highlighting the Fundamental Duties under Article 51A of the Constitution of India, he reminded students that education is not merely about qualifications, but about understanding life, society and one's responsibilities.
Speaking about NIT Calicut’s future, he said: “When you become world class, NIT Calicut becomes world class.”
