International Conference on Materials for Energy, Environment and Healthcare (MEEHCON) 2024 will be held at NIT Calicut during 20-21 December 2024
Department of Materials Science and Engineering, NITC will be conducting the International Conference on Materials for Energy, Environment and Healthcare MEEHCON-2024, at the National Institute of Technology Calicut during December 20-21, 2024.
The two-day conference will be inaugurated by Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT Calicut. The inaugural keynote lectures will be delivered by Prof P M Ajayan, Rice University, USA and Prof. Christian Kubel, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany and chaired by Prof C B Sobhan, NIT Calicut. Eminent speakers including Prof. T S Sampath Kumar, IIT Madras, Dr.Saikat Talapatra, Southern Illinois University, Prof. N V Ravikumar, IIT Madras, Prof.Douglas Galvao, Campinas State University, Brazil, Prof. Ranjit Bauri, IIT Madras , Dr. Santhana Eswara, Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, Prof. M M Shaijumon, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, Prof. Sarith P Sathian, IIT Madras, and Dr. Tetsuo Oikawa, JEOL, will be delivering lectures.
The conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, research scholars and industrialists to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Materials for Energy, Environment, and Healthcare. It provides a premier interdisciplinary platform to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in these fields. This event also emphasizes the importance of knowledge exchange and fostering collaborations among international institutions, promoting global advancements in materials science and engineering.
The conference received an overwhelming response, with more than 150 paper presentations with more than 400 attendees. The conference proceedings will be published in Springer Proceedings in Materials and selected papers will be published in SCI indexed journals Materials Research Express, Materials Performance and Characterisation, and Physica-E: Low Dimensional Systems and Nanostructures. The best papers will be awarded by reputed publishers including Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and American Chemical Society (ACS).
