The International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research in Technical and Management (IRTM 2024) commenced on 5 th December 2024 at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut. The three-day conference, from December 5-7, 2024, is organized by the Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata and Jaipur, and NIT Calicut, in association with Swadeshi Science Movement-Kerala and Vivekananda Vijnan Mission, West Bengal (Vijnana Bharati), and supported by SMART Society, USA.

The Chief Guest at the inauguration of the conference was Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of National Educational Technology Forum (NETF), chairman of EC National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and Ex-Chairman of AICTE. Dr Prasad Krishna Director NIT Calicut Presided over the function. The Guests of Honour who spoke at the function were Dr. YVN Krishna Murthy, Distinguished Scientist, ISRO; Member, Urban Policy Commission, Govt. of Kerala, Dr. Sridevi Jade, Director, CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR-4PI), Bangalore. Prof. G Ramesh, Ex Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Shri Abga Raveendranadha Babu, South India Organising Secretary Vijnana Bharati. Dr Sathyajit Chakrabarti, Director IEM delivered the welcome address and  Shri Manoj G Pillai SSM Kerala proposed vote of thanks.

This year's conference received an overwhelming response, with 550 paper submissions, out of which 150 were selected for presentation. The conference proceedings will be published in Scopus-indexed journals.
