Bridging students, researchers, and industry  the ISHMT-RCT Student Chapter takes off at NITC. 
The Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer  Regional Chapter Trivandrum (ISHMT-RCT) Student Chapter at NIT Calicut was officially inaugurated on 22nd August 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Centre for Clean Energy and Circular Economy (CECE) at NITC.

 Felicitations by Shri. J.C. Pisharady, Former President, ISHMT-RCT & Retd. Head, Thermal Engineering Division, LPSC–ISRO, and senior faculty, NITC
Followed by the Innugrual Function Technical Session on "Heat Transfer Challenges in Rocketry" by Dr. S. Sunil Kumar     – Jointly organized by the ISHMT-RCT NITC Student Chapter and the Centre for Space Science and Technology, as part of Space Day Celebrations. The session provided valuable insights into current challenges and innovations in space propulsion and thermal management.

 This landmark event marks the beginning of a vibrant platform for student engagement, research collaboration, and innovation in thermal sciences, energy systems, and space technology.
