The Official Language Unit of NIT Calicut organized a Hindi Workshop on 30th June 2025 at the Senate Hall, focusing on the theme:
 “Implementation of Official Language Policy, Act, and Annual Programme in the Institute and Data Collection for Quarterly Reports.”
The workshop was led by Shri Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Deputy Director, Regional Implementation Office, Official Language Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Kochi. He shared valuable insights on promoting the use of Hindi in official work and elaborated on effective methods for data collection and preparation of quarterly reports.
The session commenced with a welcome and inaugural address by Dr. Arun F. Adrakatti, Officer-in-Charge, Official Language Unit. Shri Dubey delivered a thought-provoking and informative concluding address, highlighting the importance of consistent efforts in implementing the official language policy. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Mukul Sharma, Member, Official Language Implementation Committee (OLIC).
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from OLIC members, Point-of-Contact representatives from various departments, and non-teaching staff, reflecting the institute’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the use of Hindi in administrative and official communication.
