The Hindi Fortnight 2026 celebrations at the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) was inaugurated by Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT Calicut, in the esteemed presence of Dr. C. Jaya Sankar Babu, Head, Department of Hindi, Pondicherry University; Prof. A. Shaija, Dean (P&D); Dr. Arun F. Adrakatti, Deputy Librarian; faculty members, officers and staff of the Institute. A Technical Hindi Workshop was also organized as part of the programme.

In his keynote address, Prof. Prasad Krishna highlighted the importance of learning and respecting one’s mother tongue and regional languages alongside Hindi. He emphasized the equal importance of regional languages in preserving India’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage. He called upon all employees to wholeheartedly embrace the Official Language Hindi with interest and enthusiasm, emphasizing that its promotion should be through willingness and positive engagement rather than any sense of imposition.

The Technical Hindi Workshop was conducted by Dr. C. Jaya Sankar Babu, who highlighted the growing possibilities for Hindi in the present technological era. He emphasized that advancements in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and digital platforms have opened up new avenues for the use and development of Hindi. He also stressed the importance of effectively utilizing modern technological tools to facilitate and strengthen the use of Hindi in official and technical work. The inaugural ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of employees, who took an active interest in the session and engaged in discussions on various aspects of the practical and technical use of Hindi.

As part of Hindi Fortnight 2026, the Official Language Unit will organize various Hindi competitions, programmes and activities for the students and employees of the Institute. These programmes are aimed at generating greater interest and awareness about Hindi and strengthening the effective implementation of the Official Language Policy at the Institute.

The programme was organized by the Official Language Unit, National Institute of Technology Calicut. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Aasa P M, Junior Translation Officer.

राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान कालिकट में हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2026 का भव्य शुभारंभ

राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान कालिकट में हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2026 समारोह का शुभारंभ संस्थान के निदेशक, प्रो. प्रसाद कृष्ण द्वारा किया गया । इस अवसर पर पांडिच्चेरी विश्वविद्यालय के हिंदी विभाग के अध्यक्ष, डॉ. सी. जय शंकर बाबू; प्रो. ए. शैजा, डीन (पी & डी); डॉ. अरुण एफ. अड्रकट्टी, उप पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष; संस्थान के संकाय सदस्य, अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारी उपस्थित थे । कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत एक तकनीकी हिंदी कार्यशाला का भी आयोजन किया गया ।

अपने बीज व्याख्यान में प्रो. प्रसाद कृष्ण ने हिंदी के साथ-साथ अपनी मातृभाषा और क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं को सीखने तथा उनका सम्मान करने के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला । उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की समृद्ध भाषाई एवं सांस्कृतिक विरासत के संरक्षण में क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं का समान रूप से महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है । उन्होंने सभी कर्मचारियों से राजभाषा हिंदी को मन से अपनाने और उसके अधिकाधिक प्रयोग का आह्वान किया । उन्होंने इस बात पर भी बल दिया कि हिंदी का प्रोत्साहन स्वेच्छा, सकारात्मक सहभागिता और आत्मीयता के माध्यम से होना चाहिए, न कि किसी प्रकार के थोपे जाने की भावना से ।

तकनीकी हिंदी कार्यशाला का संचालन डॉ. सी. जय शंकर बाबू ने किया । उन्होंने वर्तमान तकनीकी युग में हिंदी के बढ़ते अवसरों और संभावनाओं पर प्रकाश डाला । उन्होंने कहा कि सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता और डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म के क्षेत्र में हो रही प्रगति ने हिंदी के प्रयोग एवं विकास के लिए नए अवसर प्रदान किए हैं । उन्होंने राजभाषा संबंधी कार्यों को सुगम और सुदृढ़ बनाने के लिए आधुनिक तकनीकी साधनों का प्रभावी उपयोग करने की आवश्यकता पर भी बल दिया । उद्घाटन समारोह में बड़ी संख्या में कर्मचारियों की उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी रही। प्रतिभागियों ने सत्र में गहरी रुचि दिखाई और हिंदी के व्यावहारिक एवं तकनीकी प्रयोग से जुड़े विभिन्न पहलुओं पर सक्रिय रूप से विचार-विमर्श किया ।

हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2026 के अंतर्गत राजभाषा एकक द्वारा संस्थान के विद्यार्थियों एवं कर्मचारियों के लिए विभिन्न हिंदी प्रतियोगिताओं, कार्यक्रमों एवं गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया जाएगा । इन कार्यक्रमों का उद्देश्य हिंदी के प्रति अधिक रुचि एवं जागरूकता उत्पन्न करना तथा संस्थान में राजभाषा नीति के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन को और सुदृढ़ करना है ।

कार्यक्रम का आयोजन राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, कालिकट के राजभाषा एकक द्वारा किया गया । कार्यक्रम का समापन श्रीमती आशा पी. एम., कनिष्ठ अनुवाद अधिकारी, राजभाषा एकक द्वारा धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ कार्यक्रम संपन्न हुआ ।
