The Rupa Rahul Bajaj Scholarship for Women in Engineering, a flagship CSR initiative of Bajaj Auto Limited, was awarded to the first-year B.Tech girl students of National Institute of Technology Calicut. The scholarship aims to empower meritorious young women pursuing engineering by supporting their academic journey and nurturing future leaders in core engineering and manufacturing sectors.
A total of 25 students were selected to receive the scholarship, with each scholar awarded up to INR 2 lakhs per annum. This financial support enables the students to focus on academic excellence, innovation, and their long-term career aspirations. In addition to monetary assistance, the programme also emphasizes mentorship, industry exposure, and professional development opportunities, ensuring a holistic growth environment for the recipients.
The felicitation ceremony was held on 21 April 2026 at NIT Calicut, where scholarship certificates were formally presented to the selected students. The event was graced by Prof.Prasad Krishna, Director of NIT Calicut, and Nabigha Gillani, whose presence added significance to the occasion and inspired the young scholars to strive for excellence in their academic and professional journeys.
