NIT Calicut felicitated 32 NATS Apprentice Trainees and 9 PMKVY Solar Installer (Suryamitra) trainees
The Centre for Continuing Education and Skill Development (CCESD), NIT Calicut, organised a Felicitation Ceremony to honour the successful completion of training by participants of two important skill development programmes.
A total of 32 Apprentice Trainees (Batch 2025–2026) successfully completed their apprenticeship under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). Having completed their training at NIT Calicut, they are now set to begin the next chapter of their professional journeys across industries and organisations.
The ceremony also celebrated the successful completion of the PMKVY Solar Installer (Suryamitra) – Three-Month Course by 9 trainees, reinforcing NIT Calicut's commitment to promoting industry-relevant skills and supporting India's clean energy mission.
The function was presided over by Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT Calicut. Shri K. Mohammed, District Information Officer, Information & Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The knowledge and experience gained today will shape the leaders and professionals of tomorrow." - K. Mohammed commented .
The programme was attended by Prof. M. S. Sunitha, Dean (Faculty and Staff Welfare), Dr. Sunil Jacob John, Registrar-in-Charge, and Dr. Sudeesh George, Chairperson, Centre for Continuing Education and Skill Development (CCESD), along with faculty members, officials, trainees, and their families.
The event marked not only the successful completion of training but also the beginning of promising professional careers, reflecting NIT Calicut's continued commitment to excellence in skill development, employability, and nation-building
