Electricity Safety Awareness Programme – Phase 2
The second phase of the Electricity Safety Awareness Programme was successfully conducted at NIT Calicut, following the encouraging response to the first phase held on April 11, 2025, which was focused on technical staff.
This session was designed for general electricity users within the campus and emphasized the importance of safe practices in everyday electrical usage. Topics covered included the Code of Safe Practices and the safe operation of electrical systems.
️ The session was led by Shri Santhosh, Assistant Electrical Inspector, Kerala Electrical Inspectorate, Calicut.
A lively interactive segment enabled students, faculty, and staff to discuss common safety scenarios and learn precautionary measures.
The event was presided over by Dr. Shaija A, Dean (Planning & Development), NIT Calicut, and drew participation from around 80 members of the campus community.
