Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems and official language Unit of NITC jointly organized Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav on 11 December 2024 with the theme “भाषाएँ अनेक, भाव एक“ to commemorate the birth anniversary of esteemed Tamil poet, writer, journalist and an eminent freedom fighter, Shri Subramania Bharati, popularity known as "Mahakavi Bharathi". The significance of the day is to promote dissemination of mother language to all and create maximum awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world and to inspire solidarity amongst the people speaking many languages.
Dr. R. Sridharan (Chairperson- Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems), Dr Satyananda Panda (Dean Student Welfare), Dr. Arun F Adrakatti ( Incharge of Official Language Unit) delivered speeches on the theme “Linguistic Plurality and Cultural Diversity of India”. The audience actively participated in the knowledge sharing discussion session which effectively contributed to dive into the importance of multilingualism in India.
