The football teams of the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) have achieved a historic milestone by securing both the Men’s and Women’s Championship titles at the All India Inter NIT Football Championship held at NIT Jamshedpur.

The Men’s Team displayed exceptional skill and dominance throughout the tournament, concluding their remarkable run with a 2–0 victory over NIT Raipur in the finals. Over the course of five matches, the team scored an impressive 27 goals while conceding only one, showcasing their superior form and teamwork. Special recognition goes to Goalkeeper Jasil K, who was awarded Best Goalkeeper, and to key players Rajat R. Prabhu and Renaldino Marwein for their outstanding contributions.

Adding to the historic moment, the Women’s Team lifted the championship cup for the first time ever, marking a defining achievement in NITC’s sporting history. Christina Bevin received the Best Goalkeeper award for her exceptional performance, further underscoring the team’s dedication and resilience.

This remarkable double victory stands as a testament to the commitment, teamwork, and determination of NITC’s football teams, as well as the strategic guidance and support provided by the coaching and support staff  Mr. Navas Rahman, Mr. Sudheep C. R., Mr. Sunil M. S. (SAS Officer), and Mr. Dhanesh Rambeth (SAS Officer in Charge).
