3rd Edition of IDE Bootcamp (Phase II) Begins at NIT Calicut

The 3rd Edition of the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp  Phase II is being held at the National Institute of Technology Calicut from 20th April to 24th April 2026. The five-day bootcamp brings together 160 students from various colleges, offering them a platform to explore innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurial skills.

The programme is being conducted under the guidance of experts from AICTE, Wadhwani Foundation, and NIT Calicut, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for participants.

The bootcamp was formally inaugurated by Prof. Prasad Krishna, Honorable Director, NIT Calicut, who emphasized the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping future leaders.

The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Dr. T.J. Sarvoththama Jothi, President, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), NIT Calicut. This was followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. A.P. Sudheer, Chair, CIEI, NIT Calicut.

Felicitation addresses were delivered by:

  • Ms. Indu Govind, Nodal Officer, AICTE, Trivandrum

  • Ms. R. Swetha, Master Trainer, Wadhwani Research Foundation

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. M. Preethi, Vice President, IIC and CEO, TBI, NIT Calicut, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, and participants.

The IDE Bootcamp aims to nurture innovative thinking, enhance problem-solving skills, and encourage entrepreneurial mindset among students through interactive sessions, mentorship, and hands-on activities.
