21st Convocation of NIT Calicut
The 21st Convocation of the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) was held on Saturday, 30th August 2025, at the Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium. The much-anticipated ceremony marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the Institute, celebrating the achievements of its graduating students and reaffirming NITC’s enduring commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and nation-building.
This year, a total of 1,910 degrees were conferred across various programmes and specialisations:
1,126 – B.Tech
48 – B.Arch
30 – M.Plan
426 – M.Tech
97 – MSc
66 – MBA
117 – Ph.D. scholars
Each degree awarded stands as a testimony to the perseverance of the graduating students and reflects NITC’s robust academic ecosystem that nurtures talent, creativity, and innovation.
Dignitaries at the Ceremony
Chief Guest: Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education and Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India, delivered the Convocation Address.

Guest of Honour: Shri T. Madhava Das, Whole-Time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Utilities) at Larsen & Toubro Limited, and a distinguished alumnus of NITC (Electrical Engineering, 1985), addressed the gathering.

Presiding Over the Ceremony: Prof. Prasad Krishna, Chairperson BoG (in-charge) and Director of NITC, presented the Annual Report highlighting the Institute’s accomplishments in academics, research, and outreach.
The proceedings were coordinated by Prof. M.S. Sunitha (Registrar i/c), Prof. A.V. Babu (Dean – Academic), and the Heads of various Departments.
