NIT Calicut Professor Wins HUDCO Design Award
Dr. A K Kasthurba, Professor, Department of Architecture and Planning, NIT Calicut has won National Level HUDCO Design Awards 2023-24 for the Revitalization of Tali Heritage Project. Dr. Kasthurba will receive a trophy, certificate and cash award during the annual day celebration of HUDCO.
Dr. Kasthurba was selected for the award considering the design concept and the impact of the project. Community participation and transformation of the area after the implementation of the project were the key highlights of the Revitalization project.
The project was completed in 2021 by Dr. Kasturba and Team with the support of the Kozhikode Corporation and Kozhikode District Administration. District Tourism Promotion Council and Nirmiti Kendra also collaborated with NITC for the successful completion of the project.
