Young Idea Conclave at NITC turns a huge success

The Conclave was attended by more than 500 students, teachers and entrepreneurs.

The Young Idea Conclave organized by Innovations Expedition (IVAEX) in association with Kerala Startup Mission and NIT Calicut drew the participation of students and faculty members from various colleges. Over 500 participants reached the MBA auditorium at the NIT Calicut campus on Saturday to attend the conclave.

Innovative and youthful ideas by 59 youths from various professional colleges were presented at the conclave. Kerala Startup Mission will provide funding and mentoring to the selected ideas. The youth were able to interact with the professionals about innovative ideas and various initiatives to innovate their ideas.

Kozhikode Assistant Collector Prateek Jain inaugurated the programme. NITC Director Prof. Prasad Krishna presided over the function. Startup Mission Corporate Lead Rahul Shah, Innovations Expedition Founder Noushad M Ali and others spoke on the occasion.

A focal point of the conclave was the innovative idea pitching competition, where 59 inventive concepts from aspiring entrepreneurs representing diverse institutions were presented to a distinguished panel of experts for evaluation. This platform not only provided an opportunity for these budding talents to showcase their ideas but also encouraged a healthy spirit of competition and collaboration.

A series of interactive expert talks on innovations captivated the audience. Eminent personalities from various domains lent their insights to the event. Mr. Roshan Kynadi, CEO of Agripreneur Kynadi Plantations; Mr. Deepak Padiyath, Vice-President of G-tek Solutions; Dr. Vineeth Abhraham, Director of Baby Memorial Hospital; Mr. CS Ashique AM, Founder of Ashique & Associates; Ms. Aparna Vinod, Founder and CEO of Igloopupa; Mr. Asif Theyampattil, CEO of ATBC; Mr. Anil Balan, Founder of Splendre Eyemag Pvt Ltd; Dr. Preethi M from the Technology Business Incubator at NITC; Dr. Muhammad Shafi, Assistant Professor at NITC; Prof. Ravi Varma, Managing Director of a startup company and also a Professor at NITC; and Dr. Johnson Y, Post Doctoral Fellow, each shared their unique insights and experiences, enriching the young minds with valuable perspectives from various walks of life.

The event was co-supported by institutions including Government Engineering College, Kozhikode; University of Calicut Institute of Engineering & Technology; MES College of Engineering, Kuttipuram; M. Dasan Institute of Technology, Kozhikode; KMCT Institute of Emerging Technology & Management.
