The 30th Swadeshi Science Congress started at NIT-C

Visible changes in the science and technology could be seen in recent years, observed Dr. Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India while inaugurating the 30th Swadeshi Science Congress virtually.  He call upon the scientists to bring sustainability concepts that are intrinsic to Indian philosophy on pursuing research in any branch of science and attract other countries to India to learn such models.

Dr. Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT-C and Dr.Debashis Chaterjee, Director, IIM, Kozhikode delivered the keynote address on focal theme: Holistic approach for a sustainable life style - perspectives from Indian knowledge system.  The Parameswarji memorial lecture was delivered by Dr. Prasad Krishnan, Director, NIT-C.  Dr. A Sujith, NIT-C delivered Sir C V Raman Memorial  lecture.  Dr. K. Muralidharan, President, Swadeshi Science Movement Kerala presided over the function.  Professor C. Sridharan, Indian Knowledge System, NIT-C welcomed the gathering and Dr. Ashis Avasti, NIT-C proposed vote of thanks.  Other dignitaries spoken in the occassion are Sri. Vivekananda Pai, National Secretary Vijnana Bharati, Dr. A. R. S. Menon and Sri. Rajeev Nair (Swadeshi Science Movement Kerala) and Dr.Shyamasundara M,Registrar, NIT-C.  More than 250 delegates from differepnt parts of the country are attending the three days congress.
