NITC organized hands-on workshop for school students on modern Biotechnology techniques
The School of Biotechnology (SoBT), NIT Calicut organized a two-day workshop during 4th and 5th November 2022 for the higher secondary students of nearby schools. The workshop was organized under the scientific social responsibility of the research project titled “Investigation of cross-talk of gene regulation of L-sorbose and galactose metabolism in Candida albicans” granted by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to Dr. Md. Anaul Kabir, Professor of Biotechnology, NITC. The workshop was inaugurated by lighting of the traditional lamp by the Director of NIT Calicut Prof. Dr. Prasad Krishna in the presence of the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. P Jayadeva Bhat (former Professor, IIT Bombay), the Head of the School of Biotechnology Dr. Rathinasamy K, Professor Dr. Md. Anaul Kabir the organizer of the workshop, other faculty members, students, research scholars and participants from 5 nearby Schools.
