NIT Calicut Hosts Delegates from Chhattisgarh as part of Yuva Sangam Exchange Program

A delegation of Yuva Sangam delegates from Chhattisgarh visited the campus of the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) on March 18. This visit was a part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam initiative, spearheaded by the Government of India, aimed at fostering cultural and educational exchanges among the youth across different states and union territories.

Yuva Sangam seeks to provide multidimensional exposure to youth under five broad areas known as the 5 Ps - Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology). The Phase IV of Yuva Sangam has designated the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), an Institute of National importance, as the Nodal Higher Educational Institution (HEI) for the program in Kerala. IIMK is paired with Guru Ghashidas University, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) for this phase.

The delegates, upon their arrival at IIMK, were provided with an opportunity to gain insights into technological advancements by visiting NIT Calicut. As part of this exchange, Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director of NIT Calicut, engaged in an interactive session with the participants, shedding light on the institute's contributions to technological innovation and academic excellence.

Dr. M S Shama Sundara, Registrar of the Institute; Dr. G K Rajanikant, Dean (Student Welfare); Dr. Ranjith PM, Yuva Sangam Coordinator of NITC; and Dr. Sunitha MS, Chairperson, CPRIME also were present.

The visit not only facilitated knowledge exchange but also strengthened the bonds between the youth of Chhattisgarh and Kerala, embodying the spirit of unity and diversity promoted by the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.
