Delegates from a French University visit NIT Calicut

They discussed the scope of collaboration in higher education and research

Delegates from IMT Atlantique, a technological university in France, National Institute of Technology Calicut campus. The team interacted with the students, faculty and research scholars on the scope of higher studies in France. 

An interactive session organised by the Center for International Relations, NITC discussed the collaboration and networking opportunities with IMT Atlantique in Nantes, France.

In her presentation, Professor Pascaline Pré, who affiliates with the Department of Energy Systems and Environment, IMT Atlantique, mentioned the scope for research activities in the university. She also detailed various research projects under which Indian scholars can work. 

According to Prof. Pré, several Indian scholars are working at IMT Atlantique on various research projects and shared updates on recent research developments in the Environment and Energy Conservation sectors. 

NITC and IMT Atlantique envisions discussing the scope of collaborating on a dual degree and PhD Scholar immersion scheme. The interaction helped the postgraduate students and PhD scholars of NITC to learn more about the opportunities for higher studies and post-doctoral research in France. 

Professor Pré and her team from IMT Atlantique will be at NITC till December 4 and continue to interact with the students and faculty members. Dr. M K Ravi Varma, Professor and Head of the Department of Physics and Chairperson of CIR, and Dr. George K Varghese, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering, coordinated the session.
