    Achievements

    • Conducted prestigious International Conference on Precision, Meso, Micro and Nano Engineering (COPEN 8) at NIT Calicut during Dec. 13-15, 2013 and was the Organizing Secretary for the same and many similar workshops and conferences (about 7).

    • Established DST FIST  Centre for Precision Measurements and Nano Mechanical Testing at MED-NIT Calicut a at a cost of Rs 2.53 Crores in 2021. The machines include Nanoindenter (Hysitron- Bruker USA), 3D Profilometer (Alicona, Austria), High Speed Camera (Phantom-USA), Thermal imager (FLIR-USA)

    • During the tenure as HoD, MED, Dean (R&C), Chairman TBI, many new innovative prrgrammes have been brought in for the benefits of the faculty, staff and the students

    • A new 'Sophisticated Instruments Centre' was setup in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with the financial assistance of MHRD, which caters regular UG/PG student needs and has facilities for carrying out measurements of industrial products/undertake consultancy projects.

    • Has contributed in a big way to the modernization of Metrology Lab, CAD/CAM Centre, Production Engineering Lab., etc. and has introduced many new experiments.

    • The new machines added include, Micro Machining Centre, Rapid Prototyping Machine, Cutting Tool Dynamometers and Mini dynamometers, 4 axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre, CNC Turning Centre, etc.

    • LabVIEW Software and various CAD/CAM packages like ANSYS, ABAQUS, Pro/E, CATIA, ESPRIT, PREDATOR, Creo, Mastercam, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc. were added to the CAD /CAM Lab.

    • CAD-CAM Lab is kept opened till midnight, conduct free training programs every semester, managed by NITC Students and which caters the need of entire NITC community.
