Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO1: To produce students with excellent academic qualities and related skills who will contribute to the ever increasing academic and research requirements of the country.
PEO2: To impart to the students, in-depth knowledge of the modern skills and tools related to EnvironmentalGeotechnical engineering so as to enable them to address the environmental aspects and sustainable issues related to infrastructure development of the country.
PEO3: Provide a strong foundation in basic and advanced knowledge in geotechnical engineering and environmental engineering enabling the students to excel in the various careers in the related areas.
PEO4: Provide expert training in laboratory and experimental work.
PEO5: Train the students to attain various programming and software skills.
PEO6: Enable the students to develop strong communication and technical writing skills.
PEO7: Train the students to develop teaching skills through regular teaching assistance.
PEO8: Prepare the students to be industry ready by encouraging interaction with industry, carrying out industry based projects, involving them in consultancy projects etc.

Post-Graduates will attain an ability to independently carry out research/ investigation and development work to solve practical problems.

Post-Graduates will attain an ability to write and present a substantial technical report/ document.

Post-Graduates will be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.
