Programme Educational Objectives

PEO1 To train students with in-depth and advanced knowledge to become highly-skilled professionals in the areas of manufacturing and allied fields capable of analysing and solving complex engineering problems.

PEO2 To enable graduates to carry out innovative and independent research work in academia/industry to enhance the manufacturing knowledge base and to disseminate the knowledge.

PEO3 To prepare the students to exhibit a high level of professionalism, integrity, social responsibility and life-long independent learning ability.

 

Programme Outcomes

PO1 An ability to independently carry out research/investigation and development work to solve practical problems

PO2 An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document

PO3 Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the Manufacturing Technology program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program

PO4 An ability to use modern computer/ software tools to model and analyse manufacturing engineering problems.

PO5 An ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams to develop useful products for mankind.

PO6 An ability to engage in life-long independent learning with high level of enthusiasm and commitment
