Curio Con- 2023 and Plasma Exhibition at NIT Calicut

NIT Calicut will host CurioCon-2023, Plasma Exhibition and Innovation Fest. The program will be held from September 4 to 8 under the leadership of Kozhikode District Education and Training Centre (DIET) in association with the department of Physics at NIT Calicut and Institute for Plasma Research, Gujarat.

According to Prof. Ravi Varma, Head of Physics Department, NITC, CurioCon aims to provide opportunities for children and teachers to interact with experts in the field of science, innovation and entrepreneurship, and to connect schools with higher education institutions. CurioCon is a science exhibition that includes seminars on various fields of science to inculcate a culture of innovation in schools, Abdulnasser U.K., Principal, District Institute for Education Training. CurioCon coordinated by the Department of Physics, NIT Calicut, will give opportunity to students and teachers of Science Clubs and Educational Technology Clubs.

Plasma exhibition

Students from each sub-district will participate in plasma exhibition under the leadership of science club. Thousand registered students and teachers will be able to attend Plasma event per day.

Interactive seminar

Interactive seminars for students are planned from 10.30 am to 12 .30 pm every day. As many as 800 students and 100 teachers will have an opportunity to participate in these seminars every day. All the events will be held at School of Management Studies at NITC.

Idea Showcasing & Idea Presentation

Students who wish to exhibit their unique and innovative ideas and prototypes developed with the support of Atal Tinkering Labs and Edu Mission Innovation Labs can showcase their ideas and prototypes. Students who have won district level INSPIRE Award can also display their ideas and prototypes.

The plasma exhibition and seminar will be open to the general public and college students from 1 pm to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 5 pm. For more details and registration visit
