Important Information: (i) For claiming seat in the OBC-NCL category, candidate must bring the OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed format issued on or after 01/04/2017 by a competent authority (not below the rank of Tehsildar), at the time of Reporting.
Those with annual family income less than Rs. 5 Lakhs should produce Income Certificate
in the prescribed format (given on this page) issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar, at the time of admission for claiming fee concession as per the 'Institute Fee Structure
(iii) For the attention of those candidates who have been allotted seat at NIT Calicut (Those who have reported at a Reporting Centre and have obtained the Seat Acceptance Letter): Physical reporting of the candidate at the UG Admission Office of NIT Calicut before 5.00 PM on 26/07/2017, with all the required original certificates is compulsory for admission to the B .Tech./ B. Arch. programme through JEE (Main), failing which the respective seat(s) will be reported as VACANT to JoSAA for subsequent filling through Special Round Counselling.

Admission to B. Tech. and B. Arch degree programmes at NIT Calicut for the year 2017 will be based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main)-2017. For information on JEE (Main)-2017, please visit www.jeemain.nic.in.
There is no need to apply separately to each NIT. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA-2017), constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, comprising of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB-2017) and the Joint Admission Board (JAB-2017) will conduct and supervise the admission process of candidates to various NITs through centralized online counseling process.
A limited number of seats are available for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) under the ‘Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA)’ Scheme of MHRD, Government of India. In addition to the above, few seats are offered exclusively to foreign nationals under the ‘Foreign Nationals Scheme’. Candidates to these seats are nominated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
